How to Change the World

It’s Tuesday.
Time to write.
Time to share.
Time to open the page
And here I stare …

Cath, it’s okay. Just say, “Hey!” Maybe add “How’s your day?”

Okay. Got it. “Hey! How’s your day?” … I’m not sure how to do this.

Yes, you do. You do it all the time.

One-sided conversations are hard.

Okay, then, how can we change that thought? Make it less hard?

I don’t know … I want to say something helpful. Something more helpful than … Gee whiz, I can’t even think of a handy household tip. I’m the queen of household tips! I must be tired …

True. You may be tired. Maybe it’s time to get your blood moving?

A pause and a few twirls later …

I feel better. Much better. That one never fails. Why didn’t I think of it before?

It’s an easy one to miss.

Okay, here’s my tip for the day, since I lack words to say …

Moving makes everything better. The simplest of acts. Walking. Running. Dancing in the kitchen (my personal favorite). Doesn’t matter. It’s the easiest thing to do. And the easiest thing not to do. Cause we think it won’t make a difference. And we’re grown-ups, after all. And don’t forget tired … so many things on that all-important to-do list. Who has time to dance for five minutes in the kitchen?!

I do. I hope I always do. Close the doors (two curious pups, you know), and MOVE to the music that MOVES me. Makes me smile. Lifts me up and recharges my batteries. So much better.

So much better.

Changing the world starts by changing my world. Every single day.

❤️ Cath
