It’s been a while.
It feels like it’s been a while
Since the words just flowed.
Has it been a while?
A simple verse
Spilled out on the page.
Just a few lines.
A poem, maybe, is all I ask.
A few lines, that kind of rhyme.
Or sort of rhyme. Some of the time.
Well, okay, a few coherent lines,
That kind of rhyme, some of the time.
And words that have meaning and depth would be fine.

Could everyone like it? Well … maybe not all.

Thanks, Jen! I don’t know why this one makes me laugh. I think I’m asking for just a little bit of inspiration, and what I’m really asking for is all that, plus the world’s approval. I think we must keep God pretty entertained some times!
